Ronald Alfred Gray

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of Ron (Grandad) on April 24, 2018. Born in Sambro, he was the son of Helen (Jennex) and the late Alfred Gray. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lynn (Gilkie) Gray; daughters, Tabatha Zinck (Trevor) and Natasha Roscoe (Mitchell); grandchildren, Joshua, Josie and Brady; son-in-law, Phillip Zinck and sister, Shirley Tough (George) as well as many nieces and nephews. Ron loved fishing, gardening, crafting, puttering in the yard, camping and spending time with family and friends. Ron worked as a fisherman, a labourer on the C.S.S. Dawson, and had a successful 33 year career at the dockyard, retiring as a Marine Painter in 2007. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive on Tuesday, May 1st from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at St. James United Church in Sambro with Rev. Helene Burns officiating on Wednesday, May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. James United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
