She leaves behind her sons, Michael (Ashley) and Thomas Patrick, her sister Susan Drozda, nieces Julie Loppacher (Gina) and Rebecca de Jong.
Sandra loved her grandchildren (Jack, Oliver, Stella) dearly, and was immensely proud of them as well as all the other grandchildren in her life. She was an avid sports fan, and could be heard cheering in typical “Grandma Sandy” fashion, rinkside and on the sidelines.
Her heart was full of loved ones including her very best friend Sylvia Lyndon, Meghan (Tyler), and all of the Johnston family.
Predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Thomas James Milloy (1947-2003), she continued to miss his presence and companionship every single day.
To her family, Sandra was so much more than a mother, sister, or aunt—she was a steady, loving presence whose care and devotion were truly unmatched. She always put others before herself, offering her time, energy, and heart without hesitation.
Sandra took pride in her nursing career spanning 50 years, where she cared for patients and clients with dedication and love. She found joy and community with colleagues across Canada.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home in Halifax, NS on Saturday, May 23rd at 10 am. Interment is planned at a later date in Leduc, Alberta to reunite her with Tom.
