Age 36 of Upper Tantallon. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sean on August 17, 2017. Born in Labrador City, on December 17th, 1980, he was the son of Myrtle and Merrill Clarke. He will be eternally missed by his loving wife, best friend and soul mate of 20 years Marlowe, his precious children Haleigh and Brayden, and puppy Lilly, loving sister Shelley (Irven), special Mother in Law Rhonda (Vernon), special Father in Law Gordon (Brenda), loved Sister in Law Miranda (Garett) and sweet Nephew Keegan, many more special family members and a never-ending circle of friends. Sean touched so many lives and left an impact on everyone he met through his gentle and caring ways and his wit and humor. He was a friend to all and he loved his friends very much.
Sean spent his entire 15-year career with the JD Irving group of companies, with his latest role being a Supply Chain Manager at Irving Shipbuilding. Sean’s proudest work achievement was being part of the team responsible for Irving Shipbuilding’s Facility Modernization project. Throughout his career, he made a lasting impact on many of his co-workers and was a valuable contributor to the success of the organization.
What Sean loved most in life was his family. He was so proud to have what he always called the ‘million dollar family.’ Sean loved spending time with his family whether it was family outings or simple movie nights at home. It didn’t matter to him as long as we were all together. One of his favourite things to do at the end of a long day was snuggle his little girl to sleep – he was her ‘Nugglebuddy’ and she often called him this. He also loved everything to do with the outdoors and loved to take Brayden on ATV and both kids fishing. Sean loved his kids and his wife deeply. He often spoke of, “the true measure of a man as being how well he takes care of his family,”. He measured up in the biggest kind of way. Sean was so proud to take care of his family and he took care of his sister in the days she needed him most. We miss him so much and will forever love him and keep him in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at J. A. Snow Funeral Home on 339 Lacewood Drive on Friday August 25 from 2 – 4 pm. Donations can be made to the Mental Health Society in Honor of Sean. There will be another Celebration of Life in Labrador City at a later date.
