Sharyn Mary Jane Clairmont

Sharyn Mary Jane Clairmont, 77, from Rockingham, Halifax, N.S. left us peacefully on Friday, January 12th, at the QEII ICU with her family at her side. Sharyn was predeceased by a brother, two sisters, and her brother-in-law, Charlie. Sharyn is survived by Mike, her partner in crime in everything who has been by her side for 60 years. Daughters, Jane Clairmont Tracey; Michelle Clairmont (John Douglas); her grandkids that she adored more that words can say, Mitchell (Megan) Wainman, Craig (Alicia) Wainman, Lauren Clairmont Douglas, Kaleigh Clairmont Douglas, four great grandchildren ~ Kohen, Brody, Ava, and Ivy. Sharyn leaves behind her baby brother Rick (Patti) Morgan who she loved to tease and talk about who was better looking! She’s leaving behind two sisters, Sharyl and Trish; her brother Ricardo and many nieces and nephews. Sharyn had a long and successful career which she retired from in banking. She was a top salesperson in her field of employee payroll services at CIBC and Ceridian. A lifetime member of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. She volunteered for many years with Run for The Cure and loved to participate in the Dog Jog at Point Pleasant Park. All who knew Sharyn knew she was a passionate advocate for all animals.

The family would like to thank all the friends and family who visited her and made her time in the hospital bearable. Thank you to all the staff, and we mean ALL the staff over the past few years at the QEII and Dartmouth General Hospitals. Family flowers only please.
