Shirley Pyra Coleman

She was predeceased by her husband Weldon (2010), her two sisters Mary Thelma Kelsey and Ethel Faye Whitman, and her step-mother Muriel Whitman.

Survived by her three loving sons: Peter (Francine), Lake Echo; Robert (Bob) (Angela), Pleasantville; and Michael, Marco Island, Florida. Also by several nieces and nephews.

Her fondest memories included global travel with her husband, a host of wonderful family vacations plus many happy decades spent in southwest Florida during the winter months.

She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Ashburn Golf Club, and past volunteer at IWK and the ladies auxiliary of Canadian Paraplegic Association.

Cremation has occured and her ashes have been placed beside her late husband in the columbarium at St. John’s cemetery in Halifax. At the request of the deceased there will be no memorial service.

The family wishes to thank Parkland at the Gardens for their thoughtfulness and kindness to our warm and loving mother and the many friends she met there over the years. In addition, the family would also like to thank MAiD for their exceptional care and compassion.
