

It is with broken hearts the family announces that Simon Michael Coffey of Hammonds Plains, N.S., passed away accidentally on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017. Born on Nov. 7, 1999, he was a Grade 12 student at Charles P. Allen High School in Bedford, N.S.
He will be forever sadly missed by his parents, Dan Coffey and Maureen Coffey; brother, Mitchell of Oromocto, N.B., and sister, Lauren of Fredericton, N.B.; grandparents, Jack Coffey (Mary) of Marion Bridge, N.S., and Barbara Coffey, of Sydney, N.S., and Wellington and Betty McNamara of Hardwood Ridge, N.B.; uncles, John Coffey, Timothy Coffey (Bettina) and Barry Hill (Jennifer); aunt, Peggy Gauvin (David); and several cousins. He was predeceased by his aunt, Erin Hill.
Simon loved his friends, his dog Bruce, working on cars and spending time outdoors. Simon was an avid snowboarder and could frequently be found on the slopes of Ski Martock every winter. He worked part-time at Lefty’s restaurant in Tantallon.

A service to commemorate the life of Simon will be held on Thursday, October 19th at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, 29 Westwood Blvd., Tantallon, NS at 2:00 pm followed by a reception in the church hall. All of Simon’s friends from CPA and Sir John A MacDonald are invited to attend and help celebrate a wonderful young man.
