

BLAGDON (Sullivan), Susan Lorraine— Age 62, of Halifax passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Albert "Buzzy" and Gloria Sullivan. She was a loving mother and grandmother who lived her life with dignity, kindness and a sense of humor. Susan graduated from Mount Saint Vincent's Girls' Academy in 1965. After an established career as a real estate professional in Ontario and Nova Scotia, Susan became an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was also a member of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron in Halifax. She completed her boating course, piloting, and advanced piloting as well as being co-editor for the CPS newsletter, Foghorn. Susan enjoyed many hobbies which included crafts, darts, boating, competitive fishing and touching the lives of many while making friends wherever she travelled. She was the First Lady of the Grand Master of NS (1999-2000), true friend and faithful wife of 10 years to Lloyd Blagdon. Susan will forever be remembered by her loving husband, Lloyd Blagdon; daughters, Beth MacGillivray (Doug MacDonald), Kara Barrett (Mark); stepdaughter, Dorothy Godwin (Charlton); son, Fred MacGillivray (Christina) and stepson, Lloyd Blagdon Jr. (Brenda Lee); sisters, Janet Julien (Gary), Diane Sullivan; cousin, Nancy Jakeman (Kenny); brother, Dennis Sullivan (Elizabeth), and grandchildren, Nathan, Madeleine, Meaghan, Emma, Olivia, Maya, Aidan, Hailey Jane, Morgan and Patrick, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother, Gloria Sullivan. Visitation will be held Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with memorial service Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m. both in J. A.
