

Kays, Tyler Anthony – 21 beloved son of Linda (Welcher) and Fred (Buddy) Kays, Lake of the Woods, Hubley and younger brother of Travis, Halifax. Tyler passed away in the QEII hospital on December 7. He is survived by his step grandfather George White, Middleton, Uncle Richard and Aunt Karen Kays, Halifax, Uncle Tommy Kays, Dartmouth, Aunt Donna and Uncle Bill Dominey, Oyster Pond, Uncle Jack and Aunt Anne Welcher, Truro. Tyler had many cousins who loved him dearly and his heart melting smile will forever be in their minds. Tyler was loved so much by his many extended family members, neighbours, the most amazing friends and faithful companion, his dog Mercedes. Tyler was passionate about his exotic model car collection, country music, football, fishing and his brand new Ram truck. Tyler found a job he loved and enjoyed the skills he was learning as a cabinet maker at K. Carlsen Manufacturing Ltd. Tyler graduated from Sir John A. MacDonald high school in 2007 and played defence for the Flames football team but his love for football began when he played for the Timberlea Titans.
Tyler is predeceased by his grandparents John and Gert Welcher, Papa George Kays, Nanny Ruth White, Aunt Carolyn, Aunt Amelia and Cousin Shawn.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-5 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Service to be held on Monday December 13 at 1:00 pm in Edgewood Oxford United Church corner of Young and Connaught Avenue. Officiated by Rev. David Hann. Burial to follow Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville.
