

Met the love of his life, wife Minnie (nee Brewster) at 17 and was a devoted husband for 73 years. Vic, as he was known by all of his family and friends, was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and son to his family.
Born in Halifax, NS on November 17, 1934 and deceased November 15, 2025, he was the beloved son of the late Herbert and Lorreta Perry. Vic is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife and soulmate Minnie, two sons, Vic, Jr(wife Mimi) and Bruce(wife Eileen), four grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Bruce, Jr and Denise; eight great grandchildren, Connor, Sarah, Peyton, Acelyn, Alyson, Mia, Logan and Noel; sister Bertha; brother-in-law Franklin (wife Mona); sister-in-laws Joan, Sylvia(husband Delbert), Ruby(husband Rick) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brother Arthur, sisters Irene Ettinger, Muriel Herritt, Betty Murphy, brother-in-laws Ronald Brewster and Gerald Brewster; sister-in-laws Laura Rhodenizer and Doris Whynott.
Vic started his long and lustrous career in the propane gas industry with Speedy Propane, rapidly progressing to District Manager, then joining the NS Provincial government's Department of Labor where he retired as the Acting NS Fire Marshall. He was always inquisitive and enjoyed learning. He completed numerous certifications and courses at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the University of Texas. He was recognized for his many years of Service by the Canadian Standards Association for his collaborations and contributions to writing the Canadian Gas codes and standards.
Vic lived his life with honesty, fairness, empathy, compassion while contributing to his family and society. Through his actions and craftsmanship, he demonstrated hard work with perfection. He always believed in protecting the children and showing leadership by acting and doing the 'right things'. He believed that you need to be happy with the person you see in the mirror at night.
The Perry family would like to thank the staff of Schooner Landing, Northwood, Bedford for their excellent care provided over the past year and a half.

Vic will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched throughout his life.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. A funeral service will be held at J.A Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax at 10:00 am Thursday, November 20, 2025, followed by a reception, then interment at Oakridge Memorial Gardens, 1078 Old Sackville Rd, Middle Sackville, NS.
