

He leaves behind his grieving father Marijus, brothers Domas (Leanne), Vincas (Ciara), niece Nora, nephew Jacob, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, acquaintances and friends throughout the world.
He was predeceased by dėde Jurgis (2005), bune Eleanora (2009), tėvukas Kazys (2013), dėde Viktoras (2017), močiutė Elena (October 2023), and mother Felicija (December 2023).
From an early age, Lukas displayed outstanding organizational and leadership skills that gained the respect of all people who had the privilege of meeting him.
His selfless and caring nature was experienced by all!
After graduating from Cathedral High School and McMaster University in Hamilton, Lukas went on to serve Canada proudly at the Department of Foreign Affairs. Diplomatic postings included Afghanistan, Pakistan, Washington, D.C., and Australia.
Lukas was trilingual and wore his love of Canada and Lithuania proudly on his sleeve!
His fleet-footed dancing skills were enjoyed / appreciated by various dance partners during his numerous years in the Lithuanian folk dance group “Gyvataras.”
Ranking only second to his love of country and family was his passion for LEGOS, needlecraft and shrimp!
Though taken away from us far too soon, Lukas’ imprint on our lives and memories will last forever!
Memorial visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton, on Thursday, May 22nd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Lithuanian Church, 58 Dundurn Street North, Hamilton on Friday, May 23rd, 2025 at 10am. Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Mississauga.
