Adelene Frieda Ella Henkes Neie Voges, age 87 years, passed away on March 7, 2018, in Hamilton, TX. Surviving her are 5 children, Linda Neie Parrish & husband, Tom, Sandra Neie Moore & husband, Thomas, Richard Neie & wife, Arleen, Beccy Neie Rowe & husband, Robert, Robin Voges & wife, Shelley, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Glenn Ray Voges, husband, Marvin Neie, grandchild, Eddie Moore, brother, Melvin Henkes, sister-in-law Juanita Voges Payne, and brother in law, Duck Payne.
Adelene was born on June 1, 1930, in Indian Gap, TX, to Herman and Louise (Marwitz) Henkes. She was a member of the last graduating class of Indian Gap. She was Methodist by faith. She was married to Marvin Neie, on June 17, 1949. To this union, four children were born. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1959. She married Glenn Voges on November 3, 1962, and they had one child. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2005.
Her years were spent homemaking, raising kids, gardening, collecting rocks and baking the best cinnamon rolls, homemade bread, & sugar cookies. Summertime outings were spent with cousins on the river, camping, fishing, cooking & killing snakes. She loved time spent with the grands & the greats. She loved nature and the family has honored her request for a sunset service.
