

David William Cogswell, Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday October 14, 2013 surrounded by his extended family members and his hospice nurse, Barbara Sanders. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday October 19, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Sellers officiating.
David was born July 14, 1939 in Norwalk, Ct. to David Henry & Virginia June Oppelt Cogswell, He worked for 25 years for the First District Water Department in Norwalk, Ct. After his retirement from there he went to work for Norwalk Hospital for 11 years.
He moved to Hamilton in 2003 after living in Houston and Tomball for a short time. His happiest moments were trips to the lake, fishing, boating and camping out in our RV. He loved working on boats and he always liked to have a project of some kind going on before his illness. He was known on face book as Handyman and that name fit because he could fix nearly anything. Happy days were when he was riding on the tractor or lawn mowers. He loved country living on "the hill", sitting on the porch listening to his wind chimes and spening time in his man cave.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one son Tommy Henry Cogswell of Ct. on Feb. 28, 2012.
He is survived by on son David William Cogswell, Jr., and his wife Miriam of Houston. And by three granddaughters Natalie, Stephenie and Elena.
He is also survived by his companion Eva Howell and his extended family. Cathy and Ted Sellers and family. Tom and Judy Watson and family, Bill and Texanne Watson and family, John Michael Watson and family and Danny Watson.
