David was born on December 2, 1963 to Cecil and Melba Townsend in Goldthwaite, Texas. David lived his entire life in Evant. He was a member of the Evant Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed his time there. David also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Anyone that knew David knew that he was a jokester and enjoyed playing pranks on those he cared about. He loved spending time with his favorite lil’ ones.
David was preceded in death by his Grandparents, father; Cecil Townsend, and brother Cecil Townsend Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Melba Townsend, brother; Billy Joe Townsend, sister; Melba G Townsend, sister-in-law; Ann Townsend, aunt and uncle; Wanda and James Alexander and numerous cousins.
