Katherine Denice Melton

Kathie was born on September 16, 1951 to John William Jones and Lavetta Jones. Kathie married her high school sweetheart Charles Melton on December 23, 1967. They had 47 wonderful years together. They were blessed with 2 loving children Michial and Karlene. She was a devoted wife, mother and nana. She enjoyed many things in life including crafts, dancing gardening and cooking. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her sense of humor, and her devotion to God.

She is survived by her husband Charles Melton, mother Lavetta Jones, son Michial Melton, daughter Karlene and husband Bobby Buster, 12 grandchildren Tyler and wife Casey Melton, Brittany and Mark Harvey, Chase and wife Jordan Melton, Courtney and husband Mitchell Conn, Mathew Buster, Katie Bryan, Brianna and husband Kyle Wilganowski, Gerritt Buster, Preston Melton, Kelby Melton, John Michial Melton, Lance Buster, Brother Tony and wife Recie Jones, sister Peggy Reid. Father – in- law Norman E. Melton sister-in-law Nancy and husband James Gray, and seven Great Grand Children, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daddy John William Jones, Brother Royce “Bud” Jones, mother-in-law Mary Louise Melton.
