Melvin Lawrence Wenzel

Funeral Services were held Saturday, December 12, 2015 in the St. Paul Lutheran church in Aleman, TX with Rev. Don L Poole officiating. Burial followed in the St Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Melvin was born on April 12, 1924 in in Hamilton County, Texas to Richard and Bertha Siems Wenzel. He married Peggy Neal on December 21, 1947 in Aleman. They shared 61 years together before she passed away on May 22, 2008.

Melvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, his parents, one sister Lillie Voges and his brother in law Ernest Voges.

Mr. Wenzel is survived by his son Larry Wenzel of Hamilton, TX; one daughter Judy and husband Jim Bingham of Comanche, TX; three grandchildren Josh and wife Amy Bingham, Jessica and husband Wes Sledge, and Janell and husband C.J Kappell; three great grandchildren and two brothers Clarence Wenzel and Raymond Wenzel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Serving as Pallbearers were Lee Roy Tyson, Gary Voges, Robert Grisham, Chris Bottlinger, Phil Murphy, and Tommy Faubion
