To those that knew and loved him, Preston left us way too soon, but he lived life to the fullest, and he touched so many with his sharp wit and ever-present smile and laugh.
Preston graduated from Hamilton High School as a Proud Bulldog in 2007. He excelled in football and Land Judging in Ag-Ed and was offered a scholarship to Texas Tech University to pursue a degree in the agriculture field. Preston ultimately decided to earn a degree in the oil and gas industry and graduated from Texas Tech in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Commerce having achieved a GPA of 3.484. After graduation, Preston went to work for Occidental Petroleum in Houston and quickly climbed the corporate ladder to a management position. He left Occidental in 2017 to pursue another opportunity in the oil and gas industry, but he ultimately returned to Occidental in 2021 where he was employed at the time of his passing.
Preston is survived by his parents Rhonda and Kenny Davis, David and Janet Martin, grandparents Fern Harris, Earlene Blansit, Raymond and Mae Roberts, brother Travis Beadle and wife Shelby and nephew Cooper, brother Toby Gardner and Chrystella Emery-Woods, brother Mitchell Davis, sister Abigail Walton and Chance Hale and sister Rachel and Lukas Theur.
He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends and co-workers that he loved dearly. He is also survived by his constant pet companion and trusty sidekick, Hamilton the Bulldog.
Death brings grief and sorrow and many questions left unanswered for the friends and family that remain, but Preston’s life is one to be celebrated. We know that his advice to all would be to live life to its fullest, be kind, and love one another.
