Theresa "Tess" Kiefer

Tess was born October 31, 1933 in Giles, TX, the daughter of R. O. Kelley and Maurine Hoggard Kelley.

Tess graduated from Giles High School and moved to Hamilton in 1961. She was the owner of City Drug for 30 years in Hamilton.

Survivors include two sons; James McCown of Georgetown, Texas, Robert McCown and wife Laura of Longview, Texas. Grandchildren: Natasha Pocock and her husband Beau, Sean McCown, Morgan McCown and her wife Hana McCown, Kailee McCown and Fiancé Shawn Semple, Robert McCown, Matthew Wilson and wife Brandi and Quinn, Kara Robinson and husband Dennis Robinson. Tess is preceded in death by her husbands Bob McCown and Norman Kiefer. Tess had a passion for all animals, raising alpacas and her dog Gracie.

Funeral services will be held at Riley Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7, 2019 with burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Semple, Charlie Bottlinger, Jimmy Payne, Steve Watson, Jimmy Moncrief and James Yates.

Memorial donations can be made to the Hamilton County Historical Museum or Local Charities.
