

John Lawrence Craiglow, age 88, passed away on August 31, 2020, at his home in Adelanto, California, with his wife by his side. Mr. Craiglow married his best friend, Iris Jeanne, on October 4, 1978, and they spent many joyous years together.
Mr. Craiglow was born on April 1, 1932, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to George A. and Alma E. Craiglow. He was one of six children, a graduate of Lincoln High School, and locally renowned as a brick mason in the California High Desert region. Mr. Craiglow was a man of faith and served in the United States Marine Corps during 1949-1962, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant before his honorable discharge. Mr. Craiglow was very proud of his connections with the Marine Corps and his church, frequently sharing his many experiences with family and friends.
He is survived by his spouse, Iris Jeanne Craiglow; children, Veronica L. Houchin and spouse James C. Houchin, John L. Craiglow and spouse Donna L. Craiglow, Elizabeth Craiglow, and step-daughter Anne M. Escherich; grandchildren Amanda K. Houchin, James E. Houchin, Cheyenne Garvey and spouse Mark Garvey, Savannah J. Blasing and spouse Anthony Blasing, Joshua Craiglow, Jamie E. Hadley, Mason C. Escherich and spouse. Amira E.Escherich,
Andrew C. Craig; great-grandchildren Jayden L. Vigg, Oliver Cortez, Jeremiah Cortez, Abby Cortez, Brandon E. Cunningham; brother, Richard A. Craiglow and spouse Joyce Craiglow; and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his beloved grandson Eli J. Cunningham.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A service will be held at noon on September 25, 2020 at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
