I have had the pleasure of listening to Marion tell her life story to my students for over a decade.  Nathaniel was always a prominent figure at each visit.  The love they had for each other was palpable.  May his memory live on and may god grant peace and serenity to the Lazan family, and friends.

Dearest Marion and Family,
     Sending our deepest sympathy for the passing of your beloved Nathaniel.He was such a beautiful soul always exuding love and kindness to all.I remember his soft voice and always warm,bright smile.
He was a wonderful listener, making you feel special and important when he spoke to you.These are long ago memories I have growing up when our families spent time together.Marion he was your lifelong best friend and loving companion.Your relationship is a treasured one with endless memories to fill your hearts with peace and love.You were so fortunate to have all of these years and endless experiences together

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marion and the entire family on the loss of Nathaniel. Marion and Nathaniel have been apart of our lives for over 50 years and we have cherished that relationship. I myself, will be forever grateful for Nathaniel’s teaching and mentoring. His legacy will always be apart of the values of my life. It was a privilege to have known him.

Dear Aunt Marion,

I was heartbroken to hear of Nathaniel’s passing. While I regret that I couldn’t be there for the funeral, please know that you have been in my thoughts constantly. I am sending you my deepest condolences and all my love during this incredibly difficult time.

You and Nathaniel have always been an inspiration to me. The kindness, wisdom, and strength you both embody are qualities I deeply admire, and I often find myself speaking about you to friends and others I meet. Not just as remarkable individuals, but as role models—for me personally and for all of humanity. The way you both lived your lives with such purpose, generosity, and love has left a profound impact on me, and I will always carry that with me.

I regret not spending more time with you both, but please know that you have always had, and will always have, a very special place in my heart. The life you and Nathaniel built together—one of love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to each other and to the world—is truly extraordinary. His loss is immeasurable, but so is the legacy he leaves behind.

Please know that I am here for you in any way you need. Whether it’s a letter, a phone call, or simply a reminder that you are deeply loved, I hope you never feel alone in this moment. You have touched so many lives, including mine, and I hope that love surrounds you now.

Marion, I will always cherish the memory of your visit along with Nathaniel when you spoke at school, and we shared an evening together. I also enjoyed catching up with you and your family on the phone. Your friendship and exemplary courage have meant so much to me, my children, and multitudes around the world. I had the privilege of enjoying the company of Nathaniel and Marion in their home recently.
Although I knew Marion I had not met Nathaniel until the Hadassah luncheon where Marion was honored for her beautiful work.
Nathaniel and I shared conversation on those two occasions. I found him to be a charming, insightful and kindly man who was so proud of his family and his life’s work.
Although our acquaintance  was brief I am grateful that I got to meet and talk with Nathaniel.
May Nathaniel’s memory be forever for a blessing.

Nathaniel was always like an uncle and a very important part of my career.
He will be missed and always remembered.

My mother grew up as a friend of Nathaniel and my parents remained close friends with Marion and Nathaniel until my parents passed away. Nathaniel blessed the world with kindness, love, and decency. He was loved by all who came in contact with him. We will miss him.

To Dear Marion, 
I write to tell you how terribly sorry Emma, Jake and I are to learn of your beloved Nathaniel's passing. We send our deepest sympathies too all and heartfelt love to you, at what we know must be a very sad and difficult time. 

Nathaniel was a lovely, kind and gentle man and our lives are better for having known him, if only a little. We can only imagine your sorrow at such a great loss and pray you find comfort in the embrace of our sympathies joined with those of the many friends and loved ones surrounding you as well as those, throughout the wider world you and your beloved Nathaniel have touched so meaningfully. Together, you have made the world a better place.

The Brightest Light of all that emanates from HaShem is eclipsed by the loss of our beloved Nathaniel. Nathaniel received the Shechina everyday and the Shechina received Nathaniel everyday. 

I have known no man who was closer to G-d. The love Janice and I hold in our hearts is overflowing with gratitude that we were blessed to know and love a man of G-d. 

A man who was loved and counted by God as the number one of the righteous 35 others who came after him. 

His name Nathaniel was an indication at his birth that he was a "gift from G-d" and he lived up to it throughout his entire life.
