
Vivian Sue Warren was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 22, 1940. She attended Midwood High School and was a graduate of the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy in 1962. Sue joined her father and brother in their family pharmacy immediately after graduation. Several years later she moved to San Francisco and became a pharmacist in the oncology unit at San Francisco General Hospital. Always a strong supporter of Israel, Sue volunteered there as pharmacist when the '67 war broke out and ended up staying through the '73 war as well. While living in Israel she supported Boys Town Jerusalem and Yad Sarah, a health and service organization. After the war Sue returned to San Francisco to resume her work with the hospital. Sue was very active in the SEIU for many years as a representative of her hospital. Sue was the local leader of Herut, a major worldwide Zionist organization, and brought speakers from around the world to San Francisco. Sue was also a lifetime member of Hadassah.
Sue was predeceased by her brother Ralph. She leaves behind her brother Don, nephews Don Jr., Michael, Steven and niece Randi and their children, and her friends of many years Paula, Lena, and Alexis.
She loved animals, lovingly caring for rescue cats and dogs throughout her life.
A private funeral service was held at Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens, New York.
