Amy Joy Pingel (nee Castleberry), age 50, of Hammond, IN, passed away on February 28, 2026. Amy was born in Hammond, IN on May 21, 1975, to parents Jackie and Dennis Castleberry. She was a twin, born just fifteen minutes after her brother, David.
Amy is survived by her partner, Clinton Triplett; children, Zeda Pingel, Alex Pingel, Michael (Cheyenne) Pingel, and Haley (Jonathan) Pingel; grandson, Jiovanni; siblings, Tammy (Simon) Trevino, David Castleberry, Brian (Rosie) Castleberry, and Charity (Scott) Savage; and parents, Jackie and Dennis Castleberry. Amy was preceded in death by her beloved grandma, June Smith.
Amy was a loving mother to her four children, and an amazing Mimi to her grandson.
Services for Amy will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN, 46322 with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm.
