Bertha W. Scheeringa Eriks

Bertha W. Eriks “Bertie” “Bert”, age 81, of Griffith, Indiana passed away on January 25, 2016; preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, survived by her three children Garry (Cathy) Eriks, Karen (Mike) Griffin, and Timothy (Loretta) Eriks; three grandchildren Danielle (Eric) Shea, Ashley Eriks, Cadee Eriks, also preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Church of Highland, John Hoffmaster, Minister officiating. Burial Hope Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family, Friday, January 29, 2016 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN. Bertha was a member of Beacon Light Christian Reformed Church. She worked at Emsings Supermarket as a produce manager, also worked at Chase Street Produce for many years, she loved to help out at Scheeringa’s Farms, she was a member of the UFCW Union, enjoyed going on gambling trips with her sister-in-law Sara, her niece Mary, and her good friend Charlotte.
