BRUCE M. DARRELL GRIFFITH, IN Bruce M. Darrell, age 59, of Griffith, IN, passed away September 17, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Denise; three cousins: Nancy, Ken and Cordell; and adopted family: Bob and Linda Wineinger, and Wilbur and Judy Meidor. Preceded in death by parents: Charles and Estelle Darrell; father and mother in law: Ted and Irene Chrzan; and sister-in- law, Catherine (Walter) Kubis- zewski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM directly at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 20, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, with a 4:00 PM prayer service, at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, IN. Bruce was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, former member of St. John Cantius of East Chicago, employed with the school city of East Chicago for 30 years, member of Knights of Columbus Msgr. Connelly Council #1700 of East Chicago (who will hold a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.), a past Grand Knight, and also a member of 4th degree Abraham Lincoln Assembly, who will stand honor guard. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society.
