Edward M. Kroer Jr.

Edward M. Kroer, Jr., age 96 of Highland, IN. passed away December 22, 2016. Edward is survived by his cousin, Betty (O’Conner) Patterson, David Benson, Andy Panozzo and family also many friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty J. (nee Kroer) Johnson. He graduated from Hammond High School, Indiana University and the University of Michigan. He served as a paratrooper and glider man in the 82nd A/B Division in WWII in N. Africa and Europe. Retired from Amoco Oil Company. Member of the Amoco Annuitants Club and Breakfast Club. Member of the American Legion Post #168 of Hammond. Member of the Geographic Society of Chicago and the DePaul Geographic Society. He liked to travel and during his lifetime he toured some 100 countries on six continents and also traveled to all 48 continental states in the USA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN (two blocks south of Ridge Road). Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM (time of service) at the funeral home. Burial at Eden Cemetery in Schiller Park, IL.
