I was so sad to hear of Liz's passing.  I went to SLCC (Suburban Life) with Liz and we were in small group together.  Liz was such a  woman of strength and faith and I truly admired her.  She was always a complete joy to be around and I can only picture her with that big smile on her face.  I know she has been missed by vee these past few years by her family and countless students and athletes.  I take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord and has earned her rewards and probably has the best basketball team in heaven!  I will see you again my dear sister in Christ!!

Liz was such a wonderful and giving person.  Her faith in Christ Jesus was second to none.  She was by Buddy and I was her Partner.  We had wonderful times at Trinity Christian College and our friendship continued to grow after leaving the College.  I am a better person for knowing Liz and her friendship will be terribly missed.

My sympathies and thoughts go out to all of Liz's family and friends. I knew her from our time as students at Trinity Christian College and Liz always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. I am truly sorry to hear of her passing.

The passing of Liz is a great loss to all who knew her.   Thanks be to our Savior that she is home in heaven today.

Mrs. Metcalfe was my was my homeroom teacher in high school. She was a great person to start my day with and talk with before the busy-ness of the day. She also did not give me as many TARDIES to homeroom as I deserved. Great woman.

I played basketball for Ms. Metcalfe for 3 years at Valley Christian High School.  It was an honor to be on her team.  I still have the note that she wrote to me letting me know that I made the varsity team my sophomore year. During my junior year, we won CIF.  What a thrill!! I remember her love for the game, her infectious laugh, and her dedication to our team.  I was sad to hear of her passing, but want you to know that she touched my life and I am better for knowing her.

Liz Metcalfe belonged to an exceptional and godly family. Its as though the Holy Spirit had Liz's Dad Fred in mind with Acts 16:33, "he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God--he and his whole family." Liz emulated the joyful, Christian spirit of her Mom, Connie. The entire congregation of Forest View Presbyterian Church (Tinley Park, IL) was blessed with Liz and the Metcalfe family.

Liz showed by the life she led, her love for the Lord. She is now with her Heavenly Father, in glory. She will be missed by all the lives she has touched here on earth.

Thanking God for His promises and for the gift Liz was to her family and friends. I stand in awe of her grace and as a witness for our Savior. You have been touched by God's true love through Liz and the comfort and peace of that is God's love is eternal. Amen and Amen!  Lifting you in prayer for His touch to bring you deep serenity and may your hearts smile often with precious memories of your journey with Liz.

Praying for family and friends as we mourn the passing of a very special person. Although I did not look up to Liz physically, she was a role model and mentor to me. I loved playing basketball under Veeper with Liz and my sister. Her leadership on and off the court was exemplary. In my yearbook she wrote: "keep up the good work and do all to the glory of God." She encouraged and pushed many to do their best. . .to the glory of God in life and in death. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

She was a wonderful friend when she and her family came to Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian Church  in Westchester, Illinois.   I remember her growing up there and in the youth group my husband and I worked with.  Her faith in our Lord was aways being shown through everything she did.  She will be missed.

Our family in Allegan, Michigan was so blessed to meet Liz and her family after we discovered that our families were decendents from Mary and Charles Metcalfe.  We have valued our relationship and visits.  We will always remember Liz with a smile and fishing pole in her hand.  Heaven has an angel.

Praying that, even through your sadness and loss, God will comfort you with his love. May your hearts be flooded with precious memories of time spent with Liz and the knowledge that you will rejoice with her again! May God's promise of eternal life give you the strength and hope you need.

We are so sorry to hear of Liz's passing.  She was a high school class mate of ours.  I remember her contagious laugh and wonderful sense of humor.  She will be missed.

Liz touched so many people through her coaching, teaching, counseling, and just living. I'm glad I got to know her better when I worked with her at Trinity. She truly lived her faith.

My thoughts and prayers are with Miss Metcalfe's family. Coach, you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for your testimony.

I thank the Lord that He blessed me with the opportunity to become friends with Liz while we were living in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Her joy of life and love of our Lord were evident in so many ways. She loved to play her trumpet and loved to play pranks and I enjoyed both. Her constant smile and kind words encouraged everyone she met. I am sad that she is gone but I know we'll meet again. One of my pranks on her was to play Neil Diamond's rendition of "I'm going to America" which I'd play each year when it was furlough time. We had a lot of laughs and her memory will forever be sweet.
