Evelyn H. Bac (nee Vegera), age 86, of Calumet Township passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016. She is survived by her two children: Ilona Nagy and Joseph (Margaret) Bac; three grandchildren: Selene Martin, Johnny Bac and Jenna Bac; one great granddaughter, Adalynn. Mrs. Bac was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Helen Vegera. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Catholic Cemeteries, Hammond, IN with Rev. Alphonse Skerl officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Evelyn was formerly employed as Dr. Niblick's dental assistant. She was also employed at Union Tank Car and Amoco Oil. Mom loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
