Frances Dado Kuva

Frances Katherine Kuva (nee Dado), age 71, of Highland, IN, passed away at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, IN on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Sylvia Dado, sister-in-law, Dorothy Maicher and the love of her life, Robert “Corby” Kuva. Fran is survived by her son Robert (Jane) and grandchildren Joseph and Carly of Highland. She also leaves behind her sister Dolores (Eugene) Rzepczynski , brother, Frank Dado, brother-in-law, Carl Maicher, nephews Mike (Sharon) Rzepczynski , Frank (Jenny) Dado, David Maicher, and nieces Michelle (Doug) Parcel, Jennifer Dado, Gail (Al) Rich, Denise Bowens and Judy Maicher, great nieces and great nephews, Amanda and Amy Rzepczynski, Erika and DJ Parcel, Hunter and Mason Dado, and Brandon and Sean Maicher.

Before her marriage to Corby, Fran worked for the Railroad Board and Purex. She enjoyed spending time with Joseph and Carly, and being with her friends playing pool, bowling, getting together with her pinochle club, and playing poker at Plaza Lanes. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #232 and spent her summers with family and friends at Foxwood Hills in Middlebury, IN.

She will be missed for her sense of humor and fun, and left behind strict instructions to cheer for the life she lived.

A memorial service will take place at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd., Highland, with Pastor Eric Kleinschmidt officiating, on Sunday, February 10 at 4:00, with visitation from 2-4.
