Gunn, Larry Gunn, James Leland Gunn, Jacqueline Ann Cochran, Sandra Gunn, and Catherine Hull. She was also preceded by her dear son, Arnold "Butch" Frishman; and her cherished dog companion, Ginger, who brought her much comfort and joy.
She leaves behind her loving children, Michael (Tracy) Cottingham and Julie (Amon) Willett; and her daughter-in-law, Claudia Frishman. Janet’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Cherry Day, Abra Cruz, Mark Singer II, Alexis Singer, Robert Miller, Louis Young, Matthew Young, and Ross Polidore. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy, Sonya, Jeremiah, Selena, Anthony, Miguel, Jordan, Isaiah, Jazmyn, Sophia, Tristan, Haven, Dan, Scarlett, Jove, and Jude. In addition to her immediate family, she is lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Janet was a woman full of wisdom, never one to bite her tongue when it came to sharing her thoughts. She had a deep love for nature, finding immense joy in her garden, the birds she cherished, and the simple beauty of the world around her. Country western movies and music held a special place in her heart, evoking fond memories of simpler times. Janet also had a passion for crystals and crystal clowns; treasures she held dear. She once ran her own florist business and had a true love for planting. As time passed and it became harder for her to tend the garden, her daughter, Tracy, took over the task, creating a beautiful space where Janet could still enjoy the blooms from the comfort of her chair.
Janet’s warmth, gentle spirit, and enduring love for her family will be deeply missed. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
A visitation to celebrate Janet’s life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322.
