On Monday, June 26, 2017, we lost our Best Friend, Husband, Father, Papa, Uncle, Father-in-law, Riding Buddy, Mr. Know-it-All, Historian, and recipient of BP’s Diversity Award. It was a sudden and unexpected, traumatic aortic rupture. Live each day to the fullest; with love, hope, and peace.
He is survived by his true love of 35 years Patti/Trish/Tata; his wonderful children and the joy of his life, his whole life, Christopher (Teia), Megan, and Jennifer (D.J.). The real pride of his life are his grandsons, Jacob Austin (Big Boy JAM) and August Harrison (Auggie Doggie); Uncle’s girls, Hailey, Abbie, Allie, and Makaela; and his step grandchildren Trinity, Owen, and Gwen. “Josephine” will be sorely missed by his siblings Dennis (Madeline), Marianne (George), David, and their children.
Jeff retired from Amoco/BP after a lifetime of service. He was “Father BP” to the crew of BRU 300. He loved his job and the wonderful people he worked with. He was a dedicated employee and loved going to work each and every day. They tried diligently to make him a boss, but he always said, “No. I have no stress, and I like it this way.”
For the past 7 years he has been a “Harley Dude”, while adding a Victory for comfort riding. He loved long road trips with his buddies and always said, “If I can ride, it’s a great day!” If he couldn’t get anyone to ride with him, he would go alone and enjoyed the quiet open roads. His trip last summer took him to Virginia and all the battle fields. He would call home and say, “I feel it all around me; the history of it all. This is so awesome!” He befriended a tour guide and became his partner for the day. He loved to winter in Arizona to be close to Chris, Teia, the kids, and his wonderful friends from the region.
Jeff was larger than life. He was a friend to everyone. To him, everyone was family. Our hearts are broken. We truly have lost the best there is. We love you all and thank you for being a part of our life, our story. Have a peaceful day.
