John Dwayne Broom

Born and raised in Hammond, Indiana, John loved being outdoors and spending time enjoying the world around him. He was particularly fond of playing guitar and being with family, he always loved holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. Survived by his son, Justin Broom, daughter Ashley (Dustin) Prichard, grandsons Wyatt & Walker Prichard, one sister Chris (Jeff) Ballard, two aunts Mary (George) Gasda Margaret (Duke) Boggess, one uncle Albert Viou, half-brothers Robert & Steven Siezega, companion Linnetta Jones, many cousins, preceded in death by his father, Glen Eugene Broom, one brother Glen Broom, his grandmother "Granny" Margaret Viou of Hammond, his mother Marie Siezega , step-father Conrad Sierzega. John will be honored in a graveside celebration of his life, the service is to be planned this spring. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
