John is survived by his son John Kirkley of San Francisco, California; his sisters Laura Gordon (Emmett) of Highland, Indiana, Judy Frederick of Saint John, Indiana and Theresa Romich (Gene Stouffer) of Grabill, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and great nephews and nieces.
John was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Kirkley; his parents Arlene and Lawrence Kirkley; his brother James Kirkley; his brother in law Gary Frederick; his brother in law Dennich Romich; his nephew Mickey Gordon.
John dedicated himself to the Local 697 Electricians Union for over 45 years. When not working he enjoyed being very involved in his church, as he had a great love for his Lord and Savior. John was passionate about caring for others, he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
A public visitation for John will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana 46322, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
