

Joseph A. Kutcka, age 75, born December 20, 1936, of Highland, IN, passed away November 10, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine (Vida) of 48 years; four sons: David (Jennifer L.) Kutcka, Michael (Mary Beth) Kutcka, John (Lynnea) Kutcka and Jospeh (Jennifer A.) Kutcka; seven grandchildren: Tyler and Emily Kutcka, Elizabeth Ortiz, Andrew, Nicholas and Hailey Kutcka and Christopher Almaraz; two brothers: Richard (Luelle) Kutcka and Stephen (Carole) Kutcka; brother-in- law, Dan (Suzi) Vida; three aunts: Bette O'Leary, Kay Mudroncik and Jean Mudroncik; and many God children, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Mary A. (Mudroncik) Kutcka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Rev. Edwards Moszur officiating. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with 2:30 p.m. prayer service at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, IN. Visitation will also be before the Mass at 9:45 a.m. Joseph was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of '54, a U.S. Army Veteran, retired from LTV Steel with 44 years of service, was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Br. 452, and a member of The Knights of Columbus Whiting Council 1696. He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan, enjoyed golfing with his family, coached softball in Highland for many years and loved his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated to the family for various organizations.
