Michael R Peres

He is survived by his four children: Fr. Mark Peres C.PP.S., Steven (Cheryl) Peres, Karen (Daniel) Kalinowski and Jacquelyn (Michael) Mitchell; eight grandchildren: Kevin and Joseph Peres, Benjamin, Adam and Claire Kalinowski, Jennifer, John and Madeline Mitchell; two great grandchildren: Danyelle and Elijah Peres; two sisters: Anna Vant and Virginia Richards; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Peres was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; four brothers; and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. (prayer service 6:00 p.m.) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Mr. Peres was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Highland and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Blaw Knox in East Chicago with 34 years of service.
