Phillip "Davey" Slayton, III

Davey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Phillip Slayton, Sr.

He leaves behind his greatest joy; his sons, Saben and Aiden Slayton, who were truly the light of his life. He is also survived by his father, Phillip (Ellen) Slayton; his mother, Marita (Jerry) Reeves; his sisters, Amanda Slayton, Sierra Oliver, and Evie Slayton; his brothers, Thomas Slayton, Joseph Slayton, and Seth Slayton; his grandmother, Linda Slayton; and his girlfriend, Jessica. Davey will also be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.

Davey had a deep love for music and enjoyed many different genres. He cherished time spent with his sons and found peace in the outdoors, especially hiking with his dog and going fishing. He took pride in working with his hands and expressing himself through art, always creating with care and intention.

Visitation will be held on February 5, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. Funeral services and burial will be private and limited to family.
