

Born to Jessie Frazier and Georgeann Austin, Ramona was a beacon of warmth and compassion. Her professional life was dedicated to caring for others as a phlebotomist at St. Margaret's Hospital, where she worked for over 40 years. Her commitment to her job and her genuine kindness made a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Ramona is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Allen Slawikowski; her loving mother, Georgeann Austin; her two children, daughter, Jessica (Wes) Burnett and son, Allen (Kristi) Slawikowski; and her cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Ataya, Sydney, Ana, Isabella, and Dale, as well as her great-grandchild, Lyionna
A passionate cook and avid camper, Ramona's greatest joy came from family gatherings. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, from her culinary creations to the cherished memories made around the campfire.
She will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.
A Visitation to honor Ramona will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
