Raul Lozano

Raul Lozano, Age 72 of Hammond, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sara (nee Rodriquez); six children: Teresa (Kevin) Sudac, Raul Anthony Lozano, Eileen (John) Barbara, Steve (Rachel) Lozano, Johnny (Kym) Lozano and Marla (Jay) Price; 14 grandchildren: Megan and Kaitlyn Sudac, Mario Barbara, Sara (Chad) Lindley. Derek Barbara, Caitlin and Jakob Lozano, Emily, Johnny and Julian Lozano, Hannah, Hallie, Hayden and Hope Price. One great grandchild, Damon Barbara; two brothers: Roy Lozano and Rudy (Angie) Lozano; one sister-in-law, Helen Lozano; and several nieces and nephews. Mr Lozano was preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Benedicta Lozano; and two brothers: Robert and Rogelio Lozano. A prayer service will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 9:15 am at Kuiper Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3428 165th Street, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Larry Kew officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with family on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN. Mr Lozano retired from Inland Steel with 35 years of service. He was devoted to his family and was a happy man who enjoyed life and always had a smile on his face. Mr Lozano was loved by all and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
