Robert F. Volk

Robert F. Volk, age 66, of Chicago Heights, IL, formerly of Merrillville, IN passed away Friday, July 8, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Volk (nee Wood); three children: Jason (April) Volk, Josephine (Metri Saleh) Volk and Natalie (Brian) Pierce; twelve grandchildren; father, Robert E. (Jan Arnold) Volk; brother, Scott Volk; and sister, Margaret Volk. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Volk; daughter, Samantha Volk; and grandson, Cortland Volk. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with Chaplain Lauren Mache officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Valparaiso, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Robert retired from Lake Ridge School Corporation with 16 years of service. He enjoyed cooking and carpentry. Robert will be dearly missed by his many friends and family.
