Jerry Susumu Sakamoto, 93, of Kamuela, Hawaii, passed away peacefully. He dedicated over 40 years of service as an administrator with the Department of Education and was a proud retired military veteran. Jerry lived a full and active life, finding great joy as an avid senior softball player and passionate skin diver.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Rosita Rosie Sakamoto; daughters, Uvonne Lindsey; Renee Saito (husband, Mark Saito); and Sheri Sakamoto (husband, Scott Miller). He was a proud grandfather to Kamakea Lindsey, Mark (Ashley) Saito, Megan (Eric) Matsumura, Micah Saito, and Bryce Cheung; and a cherished great-grandfather to Maila, Colbie, Skylar, Shiloh, Landon, Hudson, and Brixton.
Jerry will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the deep love he had for his family and community.
