Ada served in housekeeping at Memorial Hospital for some 15 years. She was a big UT Vols fan and was known for her great love for her family, who knew her as a “peacekeeper.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Louise Brown Hixson; a brother. John Brown Hixson and sister, Alene Vandergriff.
Survivors include sons, Ronald and Randy Guinn and daughters, Lisa Morejon and Elaine Bean; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia “Toot” Griffith and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 9 PM Monday at the North Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, March 5 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
