Barbara Howard Hendrix, 72, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, at her home in Ringgold, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara had bravely battled a long illness with grace and quiet strength. She moved to Ringgold 2 years ago to be closer to her family.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 31st at 2:30 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN with Pastor David Hall officiating.
Mrs. Hendrix was born on November 20, 1953, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Carlton and Catherine Howard. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family especially her grandchildren, and she spent her whole life taking care of everyone and everything until she couldn’t anymore.
Other than her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Carlton “Ricky” Howard, Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Glen, her two daughters, Melissa (Troy) Richards of Atlanta, GA, Kimberly (Danny) Moseley of Apison, TN, her grandson, Daniel Moseley of Jacksonville, FL, her granddaughter, Ansley Richards of Atlanta, GA and her nieces and nephews, Candice Baugher, Suzanne Tabor, Carl Howard and their families.
