Barbara was known as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Along with her beloved husband, Jim, she enjoyed camping, traveling, cruising, and spending time with grandchildren and family. They would never miss a game or family event.
Barbara was a dedicated educator. Most of her career was spent in Sequatchie County schools where she taught for many years and retired as an assistant principal. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her dear husband of 58 years, James “Jim” Raymond Rigsby Jr. and her parents Ernest and Wilma Lovitt.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Dan Rigsby, and wife Michelle, and James Rigsby III; grandchildren, Logan (Lexi) Rigsby, Carlton Rigsby, Haley (Braeden) Wirthwein, and Brenden Rigsby; great granddaughter, Ava; brother, Ernie Lovitt; her beloved dog, Bella; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be having a graveside service at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday, May 22nd. Please check back for time.
