Betty Hurd Herring, 92, of Signal Mountain, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Betty was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Joseph Dewitt and Mozell Hurd on October 24, 1927. She lived in Chattanooga for many years and retired from the Hamilton County Clerks Office. She was a resident of Alexian Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Herring and daughter-in-law, Sonja Herring.
Betty is survived by her sons, Jack (Patsy) Herring and Wayne Herring; granddaughters, Michele Herring and Anslea (Sean) Dunwoody; great grandson, Will Dunwoody; step-grandchildren, Tina (Clint) Petty and Tim (Sara) Knight; and step great grandchildren, Emma Beth and Jake Petty, Hannah and Noah Knight.
