Bettye was a loving wife and mother. She was a member and teacher at the Red Bank Church of Christ. Bettye worked as a secretary for Pickett, Tarpley and Associates.
Bettye is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Eva Fox
Bettye is survived by her husband James Wayne Owens; son James (Jennifer) Owens; daughter Alison Lee (Troy) Langley; four grandchildren Kale Langley, Jacob Gambrell, Evan Langley and James Owens; sister Billye Corono Dial and niece LaDonna Faye Dial both of Columbia, Tennessee
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 4- 7 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel
The funeral service will be conducted at 7 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the funeral home chapel
With Minister Steve Lusk and Minister Bill Greer officiating
Entombment will be on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 12 noon in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
