Billy Gene Cox

Bill was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Hixson United Methodist Church. Bill was a Past Master of Volunteer Masonic Lodge #549. He was a past Commander of Alhambra Shrine Legion of Honor. Bill is a member of the VFW 4848, Hixson OES#310 and a life member of AVVA

Bill was preceded in death by his parents WC and Lula Lawson Cox; sister Evelyn Kibble; brothers LeBron, Jimmy and Fred Cox

Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years CJ Leamon Cox; sister Linda ( Frank) Price; nieces Donna ( Mark) Scott, Adrienne ( Steve) Romines, Ingrid ( Patrick) Boyd; nephews Donald ( Tammy) Kibble, Darwin Kibble, Jack ( CarolAnn) Quarles, Erik (Catrinia) Leamon; several great nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11- 1 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel

A masonic service will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday in the funeral parlor

Graveside service for Bill will be conducted at 1:30pm on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Reverend Paul Longmire officiating with full military honors to be conducted by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 203

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bill’s name to the Alhambra Shrine Transportation Fund, 1000 Alhambra Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421, Shrine Hospital, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40502 or to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37416.
