

Carl was born on March 25, 1927 in Ayers, Kentucky. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Marine Corp and served two tours each in Korea and Vietnam. After his career in the Military, Carl worked at Tennessee American Water Company and Lorain Crane and retired from the Research and Development Department at Cumberland Case Company. Carl was a faithful member of Red Bank Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ola M. Roark Neal; his parents, Dewey and Effie Neal and a brother, Arvil Neal.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chattanooga Kidney Center, Memorial Hospital and the Outreach Group at Red Bank Baptist Church for the love, support and kindness shown to their family.
Carl is survived by his son Craig (Darlene) Neal; daughter, Carla Beth Neal; grandchildren, Luke and Lauren Neal; siblings, Arlie (Joyce) Neal, Charles (Carol) Neal, Bernice Wyatt, Joyce Ann (Raymond) LaFontaine and Annette Summers; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 12: 30 PM on Friday at the North Chapel.
Graveside services for Carl will follow at 1:00 PM on Friday at National Cemetery with Rev. Bert Jones officiating.
