Carl J. “Buddy” Williams, Jr., 72, of Hixson, passed away peacefully in his home after an extended illness on December 26, 2016. Buddy was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was retired from DuPont where he began working in 1963. Buddy was a lifelong resident of Middle Valley and a member of the First Baptist Church of Soddy Daisy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorotha Williams; wife, Shirley Williams and his sister, Jean Hillis.
He is survived by his daughter, Kris (Rudy) York; son, Timothy (Krista) Hoback, sisters, Carolyn Hyden and Elaine Davis; several grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews and two great-nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A Celebration of Buddy’s Life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1 pm with Reverend Alan Rogers officiating at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
