Cecil L. Mauldin, 85, of Signal Mountain passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. Cecil worked for and retired from EPB after 35 years of dedicated service. He was of the Assembly of God faith. His favorite pastimes were spent going hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a genuine people person, his son said “he could sit in line at the Walmart for an hour and just strike up conversations with perfect strangers.” Cecil will be missed by all those that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Dean, parents, Clece and Ollie Mae Mauldin, grandchildren, Joshua and Kimberly Miller, and a brother, Lloyd Mauldin.
Left behind to cherish Cecil’s memory are his children, Tina (Scotty) Miller, Jerry (Jane) Mauldin, and Tim (Karyn) Mauldin, grandchildren, Amanda Repass, Amy (Matthew) Hicks, Alyssa Miller, Jeremy (Tiffany) Mauldin, Heather Mauldin, Trevor Mauldin, Troy Mauldin, and Katherine Mauldin, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Bessie Spurgin and Doris Pitts, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Cecil’s Life will be held graveside in the Chattanooga Memorial Park on Saturday May 23, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Cecil’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist North Chapel, 5401 Hwy 153, Hixson, Tennessee 37343.
