Charles Albert Massengale, 93, of Hixson went to be with his Lord, Sunday, July 30, 2023. He preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Jean Hale Massengale; son, Charles L. Massengale; grandson, Charles L Massengale, Jr.; five sisters and three brothers.
He was a member of North Hixson Church of God. Mr. Massengale retired from Southern Railroad.
Survivors include his daughter Jane (Larry) Cline, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2:00 Wednesday, August 2; funeral services will follow at 2:00 at the North Chapel with Brother Rick Smith officiating. Michelle Buxton will be singing, she and Mr. Massengale would often sing together at Dominion. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
