Cherise Johnson, age 48, of Hixson passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 in a local health care facility. She was born November 22, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois and had lived in the Chattanooga area for the past 19 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Sims.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Jeffery Johnson; children, Porschia Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Justin Johnson, and Jordan Johnson all of Hixson; mother, Gisella Warr Sims of Joliet, Illinois; sisters, Cheryl (Louis) Miller of El Paso, Texas; and Briana Sims of Joliet, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the North Chapel with Elder Michael Johnson officiating. A private burial will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
