Doris Parker Matthews, 78 of Chattanooga, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2015
She was born on September 14, 1936. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and was always ready to help anyone in need.
She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She retired from K-Mart after 17 years of service.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband James Howard Matthews; daughter Brenda Matthews; parents Chester and Selma Parker; brother Clarence Parker
Doris is survived by four sons Terry, Gerald ( Lisa) , Mark and Tim Matthews; two granddaughters Brandy and Jessica Matthews; two grandsons Marty and Jacob Matthews and one sister Beatrice Lusk.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 4- 8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel and Friday; March 20, 2015 from 12-1 pm
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Bert Jones and Bill Harvey officiating
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
Pallbearers will be Jacob Matthews, Marty Matthews, Wade Crouch, Justin Mizelle, Robert Johannes and Lonnie Edwards.
